Dario Romero

Director of Player Development / Speed & Strength / 5on5 / Defensive Line

Dario played for Eastern Washington University from 1997-2000. In 44 games, he tallied 22 Sacks and 40 Tackles for Loss. Dario was a 3X All-Big Sky (98’, 99’ ,00’), and 2X All-American (99’, 00’) Defensive Tackle. He ranks 9th All-Time in school history for Career Sacks. Dario was inducted into the EWU Athletics Hall of Fame in 2019. After college, Dario had an extensive professional career, playing 3 years in the NFL with the Miami Dolphins. In his 3 years with Miami, Dario played in 22 games (2 starts), and finished with 26 Tackles and 3.5 Sacks. He also played 7 years in the CFL with the Edmonton Eskimos (01’, 08’, 09’, 10’), the Montreal Alouettes (06’, 07’), and the Saskatchewan Roughriders (11’). In those 7 years, Dario played in 108 games, including 1 Grey Cup (06’). He accumulated 179 Tackles, 24 Sacks, and 5 Fumble Recoveries. He was a West Division All-Star in 2009. Dario was born and raised in Spokane, WA attending Lewis & Clark High School.

 

Jake Hoffman

Program Director / 7on7 / Defensive Backs

Jake graduated from North Central High School in Spokane, WA. He was a standout athlete earning All-State in football and was a 2X state champion in track & field. Jake played Corner and Safety for Eastern Washington University from 2013-2017. Jake finished his EWU career with 112 Tackles, 3 Interceptions, 4 Tackles for Loss, and 17 Pass Breakups (46 Games). Jake is a 3X Big Sky Conference Champion (13', 14', 16'). In Jake's freshman year at EWU, he set the school record for pass breakups in a game(6) against rival University of Montana. That record still stands at EWU, and ranks 3rd all-time in Division 1 FCS.

 

Greg Peach

CEO / 5on5 / 7on7 / Defensive Line / Linebackers

Peach played for Eastern Washington University from 2005-2008. In that span he accumulated 197 Tackles, 35.5 Sacks, and 63 Tackles for Loss. He was a 2X All-American ('07, '08), the Big-Sky Defensive MVP ('08), and won the Buck Buchanan Award ('08) for best defensive player in the nation. His 35.5 career sacks are a school record, and ranks him 9th all-time in Division 1 FCS history. His 18 sacks in the 2008 season are also a school record, and ranks him 7th best in Division 1 FCS history. Peach was voted as the 39th best male athlete in Big-Sky Conference history, and the 5th best EWU football player of all time.

He played 7 years in the Canadian Football League with the Edmonton Eskimos (2009-2011), the Hamilton Tiger-Cats (2012-2013), and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers (2013-2015). In 93 games, Greg accumulated 223 Tackles, 32 Sacks, and 5 Forced Fumbles. He was a Team Captain in 2014 and 2015.

 

Seth Harrison

Operations Manager / Specialists / 7on7 / Speed & Strength

Seth was a state runner up at Coeur d’Alene High School in 2017, finishing 7 for 9 on FG attempts. Seth was also an All-State lacrosse player, helping the Vikings to a state title while leading the state in saves with the 2nd best save percentage. Seth went 12 for 12 on FG’s his freshman year at Eastern Washington University earning 1st Team Freshman All-American and All-Big Sky. Seth also led the nation in FG percentage and was 50 of 53 on extra points. Seth was All-Big Sky in 2020, he kicked a 55yd FG that year ranking 3rd all time at EWU. 2021 he was pre-season All-American and pre-season All-Big Sky. Seth was a 3 time All-Academic Big Sky Player. He finished his career 25 of 36 on FG’s ranking 5th all time in school history. He was also 130 for 138 on extra points putting him 3rd in school history for extra points made and attempted. His 205 points scored ranks him at 10th in school history.

 

Jordan Rose

5on5 / Offensive Line

Jordan was a state champion at Freeman High School his senior year in 2013. From there he went on to play four years at the University of Idaho as an offensive lineman. Jordan was a 2016 Sun-Belt Conference Honorable Mention at Left Tackle. He was also a pre-season All-Sun Belt offensive lineman in 2017. Jordan played and started in a total of 41 games in his time there. Jordan was signed by the Kansas City Chiefs 17’, New Orleans Saints 17’, Ottawa RedBlacks 18’, and the Seattle Dragons 20’.

 

Deon Watson

7on7 / Wide Receivers / Tight Ends

Deon is a graduate of CHS in Coeur D’Alene, ID. He then went on to play Tight End and Wide Receiver at University of Idaho from 2012-2016. Deon amassed over 2,000 yards receiving and 14 career touchdowns. He played in 46 games at Idaho and won the Potato Bowl his senior year where he had 140 yards receiving and a touchdown.

 

Jake Rodgers

5on5 / Offensive Line

Jake is a Shadle Park HS graduate from Spokane, WA. He played at Washington State University from 2010-2011 and then transferred to Eastern Washington University where he played from 2012-2014. Jake was a 1st team All-American in 2014. He was drafted in the 7th round to the Atlanta Falcons as an offensive lineman in 2015. Jake played in the NFL from 2015-2020. His teams include Atlanta, NY Giants, Carolina, Pittsburgh, LA Chargers, Houston, Baltimore, and Denver. Jake played in 19 NFL games with 1 start.

 

Ryan Blair

7on7 / Quarterbacks

Ryan graduated from Mead High School where he broke nearly every career passing school record. He was first team all-GSL as a junior and the GSL MVP as a senior. Ryan went on to receive a scholarship to Western Oregon where he played for two years. He then transferred to Whitworth University in 2021. His first year as the starting quarterback he completed 115 of 155 passes (74.2%) for 1191 yards with nine touchdowns and four interceptions in just 7 games. In 2023 as the back-up quarterback he completed 60% of his passes for 356 yards, 4 touchdowns and 1 interception in 9 games played. Ryan is going into his senior year as the starting quarterback as Whitworth looks to repeat as NWC Conference Champions.

 

Bill Vavau

5on5 / Offensive Line

Vavau played offense and defensive line at Snow College, helping the Badgers to the Top of the Mountains Bowl title in 2011. Bill earned second-team all-Western States Football League honors as a sophomore. He totaled 34 tackles and two sacks in 2011. Bill then went on to play at Utah State. In 2013 he appeared in six games and played a season-high 46 snaps against Weber State, grading out at 74 percent. He recorded 10 knockdowns on the season, including four at Air Force and four against WSU. In his senior year Bill played in 10 games, making three starts. Bill graded out at 82 percent for the season, including 87 percent in assignment. His best game of the year was against San José State as he graded out at 97 percent, which included 100 percent in effort, 96 percent in assignment and 93 percent in technique, while adding five knockdowns. Bill finished the year with 21 knockdowns. He made his professional debut with the Colorado Crush from 2015-2016. He then played for the Spokane Empire in 2017 and the Massachusetts Pirates in 2018.

In 2019, as a two-way lineman Bill Vavau he earned first team All-NAL as a nose guard while racking up 6.5 Tackles for Loss, 1.5 Sacks and three blocked kicks with the Spokane Shock. He was with the Shock until 2022 when he signed with the Frisco Fighters where he finished his playing career.

  • Keenan Williams

    DL

    Keenan Williams (EWU 15’-18’, 1st Team All-Big Sky 17’) graduated from Cheney High School. He amassed 142 tackles, 17 tackles for loss, and 8.5 sacks at defensive end. A two time Big Sky Conference champion.

  • Drew Clausen

    QB / WR

    Drew Clausen (Carroll College 10’-12’, Whitworth 13’-14’) Drew was a 2010 National Champion. While at Whitworth, Drew was a 2nd Team All-NWC receiver as a junior, with 50 receptions, 689 yards, and 3 touchdowns. His senior year he was a 1st Team All-NWC receiver and NCAA season record holder with 9.7 catches per game. Drew graduated from West Valley High School.

  • Matt Nichols

    QB

    (EWU 05’-09’, All-American 09’, Dallas Cowboys 10’, Edmonton Eskimos 11’-15’, Winnipeg Blue Bombers 15’-19’, Toronto Argonauts 20’, Ottawa RedBlacks 21’) His 12,616 passing yards ranks him 2nd in Big Sky Conference history, and 7th overall in the NCAA. His 96 touchdowns ranks him 2nd in EWU history. Big Sky Offensive Player of the Year 07’ & 09’ and an All-American in 2009. Nichols helped lead Winnipeg to the 2019 Grey Cup Championship.
